Anyone know of any bars/clubs in SF that are bisexual (not straight or gay)? I'd love to find some ...

Tue, August 15, 2006 - 5:41 AMIts great to hear the Stud is still around. I remember it being a great place to dance in the 80's and it was very mixed. -

Re: Bi bars
Mon, August 14, 2006 - 8:51 AMthere are several that come to mind that are sufficiently mixed and, one might say "bi-friendly", but i've yet to encounter one that was bi-focused, or, *gasp* bi-exclusive !
but then, where's the fun in exclusivity? ;-)

Fri, November 10, 2006 - 11:19 AMIf you hear of any, let me know. I am finding it so hard to meet other bi people, especially women! -

Fri, November 10, 2006 - 12:22 PMI've heard ladies' night at Mecca on Market in SF is pretty good... also the Chasing Amy events... in particular, there is a Chasing Amy Poly meetup now... also there are a few women-only bi events around the area. There were quite a few women at the BABN brunch last weekend... babn.org for more info

Re: Bi bars
Sun, January 14, 2007 - 10:01 AMIts interesting that the closest we come to a bi-bar is one where there is a "mixed" crowd which I assume is gay people and straight people basically ignoring each other and not really forming a shared community. Why, by this time, are there not bi-bars, run by and dedicated to bisexual people to meet and dance and party? I'd love to see a bar or coffee house where the polarized types just stay way from. -

Re: Bi bars
Sun, January 14, 2007 - 10:28 AM*sigh* good luck on that one. I've dreamed of such a "bis only" space for years, but it seems extremely difficult to get other bisexuals to even care about it to actually create it. I came close to making my BISEXUS tribe such a place, but found the community was more into having it be open than closed. Josie's Juice Bar and comedy club was said to be run by a bi-friendly person, and there was the Bisexual Community Center in SF back in the 80's, but since then I've not heard of any spaces dedicated to Bis.
